The View From New Jersey

We just met Melvin Thompson, one of our SE Network Professional Drivers.  Melvin works out of our Concord, North Carolina facility and resides  in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  As you can see, Melvin loves the Drive App.  He used it to find out his next load while he was fixing up a new batch of coffee for the community pot here at the East Brunswick terminal.  He says it saves him countless trips from the truck and back that used to waste a lot of his time.
Melvin is a straight-shooter.  When asked how he was doing he said it had been noticeably slower in the past few weeks.  He said he wished his truck would drive 65 mph.  I told him about the pilot we are doing with a group of our new automated manual transmission trucks (62 pedal/65 cruise).  He also raved about the terrific services he receives from the shop in Concord.  He will not let anyone else touch his truck.  Then he headed out to the truck to go pick up his load in Port Newark, NJ for Amrod Corp.  He said he needed to be as efficient as possible with his hours so he could make up for the slow freight in January.
