Delivering our message in Anderson, Missouri

Mandie Eberley from our Maintenance Team

Today the J.B. Hunt Truckload and Maintenance teams attended the McDonald County High School career fair in Anderson, MO. This was the first time our company had been invited to participate.  Our team represented the company with pride and a sense of purpose. Many of the kids we spoke with had no idea what our industry and our  company have to offer in terms of careers. We were able to give them a clearer understanding of the opportunities with J.B. Hunt.  We also made some of them rethink what they thought they already knew about transportation as an industry.

Educating youth on what we do and educating them on the very difficult and honorable career of a driver is important.  After all, we know how hard driving jobs are for our Professional Drivers.
If you  ever asked a teenager how the store got the shirt they are wearing before they bought it you would be amazed at the answers you would receive.  Educating them was enlightening and well worth the time. We have already been invited to participate in next years fair.
