Chillin in Lowell

Lowell Driver Experience Session # 4

As the rain came to an end on Thursday, it was a brisk 40 degrees and the wind was blowing on our driving course in Lowell, Arkansas.  We enjoyed introducing some of our newest Professional Drivdrs to the Truckload Team and allowing them to strut their stuff and show off their skills.
Here is a picture of the driving course with Tracy Clark and Todd Davis, both members of our safety team.
It was a tight corner we had set up.  Our participants had to stop, look and contemplate before continuing around the obstacle. Living by the guidelines of GOAL (get out and look) is what we do here at J.B. Hunt Truckload.
When cold weather strikes, checking our hoses and engine fluids is a must.
Deb Beecher of truckload safety demonstrated the art of a proper pre-trip inspection.
With CSA scores on the rise, we need all the help we can get inspecting our equipment before it makes it our on the highways.
Ms. Dee and the crew enjoyed some fresh Hot Chocolate in between events. With temperatures in the 40's, anything warm was a welcomed blessing.

PS-That is one of our new contractors trucks providing the wind shield.

Don't worry!  We provided quality learning inside when we stopped to visit with our MOC's and the Maintenance clerks.  These folks take our calls and schedule our repairs for our Truckload Drivers.

The Lowell Driver Experience is making a long-lasting impression on our Professional Drivers. Our mission is to welcome the team, show that we care, and leave them with effective coaching that helps them be more productive and successful.   Our team also helps our Professional Drivers with extensive Peoplenet training, ETA understanding , a tutorial on the Drive app, and a roundtable with Steve Rogers and Greg Breeden.  The corporate tour gives our newest employees visibility to being a part of something bigger and allows them to feel like a part of an organization that values and trusts its employees. We look forward to working with the newest graduates of the Lowell Driving Experience for a long time to come.

Remember.......Hire to Retire!
