J.B. Hunt's Highway Angel

Since its inception in August of  1997, the Highway Angels program has recognized hundreds of professional truck drivers for numerous acts of "over the top" displays of kindness. J.B. Hunt is proud to nominate one of our own for this outstanding display of humanity.

 While driving through Michigan in October,  Bryce Roberts (ROBB0) witnessed a crash involving a pickup truck and a fellow Professional Driver. Without hesitation,  Bryce pulled to the side of the road on highway 37 and leaped into action. He followed the safety procedures instilled in him as a culture.  Bryce carefully parked, turned on his flashers, and ran to pull a fellow driver from the cab of a burning truck. We could not be more proud of Bryce's efforts and appreciate his urgency to put another before himself.

We ran into these three guys at the Lowell terminal recently.  Tom Dolansky is the CCF Driver of the Quarter for Q3.  Daniel Byers and Mike Pettyjohn are recent Professional Drivers who were honored at the Million Mile Banquet.

 Bodie Travis and his maintenance team built a better mousetrap.  We have small one-time use boxes of Tide loaded up in the dispenser.  We are working hard at improving your daily experience and updating our amenities to meet your needs.

 

Real ID Act of 2005 and Renewing Your CDL

Hello Drivers! In May 2005, Congress passed the REAL ID Act of 2005 which set minimum national standards for issuance of state driver's licenses. In brief summary, this falls in the state law arena pertaining to security, authentication and issuance procedures standards for state driver's licensing (your CDL). The goal of this program is to improve the reliability and accuracy of state-issued identification documents, which should deter terrorist abilities to evade detection by using fraudulent identifications.

What can you do? At your first opportunity, call your state Department of Motor Vehicles and find out what your state currently requires regarding further proof of your legal identity. The Compliance Department does not maintain a current database of the various states requirements. Therefore, we are asking that you please be proactive and seek this information in advance of your CDL renewal. Let's continue to stay ahead of the curve.

Engine block heaters are being installed along the fence line.

There is a "guest" office set up for anyone traveling in the area.
